Dr. Gadasalli Selected as a 2007 "Texas Super Doctor"

Introduction

Key Professional Media asked more than 37,000 medical professionals to nominate one or more doctors, other than themselves, from specified medical specialties based on one question: "If you meeded medical care, which doctor would you choose?"

After tallying their replies, the research team also identified Texas doctors who had achieved special recognition from their peers or had demonstrated other indication of expertise in their specialties. The researchers also made sure each physician is properly licensed and has no history of disciplinary action.

In the end, Key Professional Media's list includes doctors in 29 medical practice areas. Dr. Suresh Gadasalli was chosen in the specialty of Cardiology. The following profile appeared in Texas Monthly Magazine's December, 2007 issue introducing the "Texas Super Doctors™" of 2007.

As the practice of Cardiology has become more complex, Dr. Suresh Gadasalli of The Healthy Heart Center in Odessa, Texas has made it his goal to stay at the forefront of technology, yet maintain that personal one-to-one approach that endears him to his patients and their families.

Dr. Gadasalli opened his practice in Odessa in 1994. He specializes in Diagnostic Cardiology, Coronary Angioplasty and Invervention, focusing his practice on areas that provide the most convenience to his patients. In September 2000, Dr. Gadasalli inaugurated The Healthy Heart Center, which maintains state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including a nuclear medicine camera, and has on-site cardiac catheterization facilities. His team is committed to providing their patients with a comfortable and convenient setting for diagnostic procedures.

Dr. Gadasalli's dedication to continually updating his clinical and procedural skills has contributed to his ability to provide award-winning medical care for Odessa and surrounding communities in the Permian Basin. He states, "I believe in providing my patients with the latest necessary technologies available in heart care today. Keeping in touch with professional affiliations and remaining active in the local hospitals keep me in tune with the latest developments in heart care."

Professional Credentials: Dr. Gadasalli completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and was Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed training in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Milwaukee Heart Institute. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Community Service: In addition to caring for patients at The Healthy Heart Center in Odessa, Dr. Gadasalli has outreach clinics in other communities in West Texas. He and his staff travel to Monahans, Pecos, Andrews, Ft. Stockton and Alpine. Dr. Gadasalli is actively involved in various local charities, including The Children's Miracle Network and United Way. He has been recognized by being voted "Best Physician of the Permian Basin" by Odessa American reader for serveral years. "It was a great honor to be named the best Physician in Odessa.
